Before launch, we weren't planning on offering cases for this Kickstarter. They've always been something we wanted, but we needed to focus on the core product first. We knew they'd be costly and logistically difficult to include in the project.
In our first backer poll, we asked everyone what they wanted to see added to the project. Carrying Cases was mentioned the most. In our second backer poll you voted on the ideas we collected. Carrying Cases won by a landslide!
Cases were so obviously the most desired add-on/stretch-goal that we had to make it happen!
We immediately went into action. We had to find a case manufacturer and/or supplier that was cost effective, high quality, was a perfect match for our tokens, and had fast turnaround. Behold! In under a day we found a supplier that had some promising case options and a historically fast turnaround. Plus, they had glowing reviews. So samples were ordered... ... ...
... Then COVID19 happened.
As the world went into lock down so did our case supplier.
A month later our sample cases finally arrived. We reviewed the case options and found some winners. But at this point it was too late. The cases we liked have completely sold out. And the estimated restock date -- January 2021.
No backer should have to wait that long. Especially when fulfillment is on track to be completed by August of this year.
That's why we're giving a total of $902 away in Backerkit Complimentary Credit to backers who would have received a carrying case as part of their reward from the unlocked stretch goal if this global pandemic didn't happen.
The case we picked for the Essentials Pack cost us ~$2.50/ea so Essentials Pack Backers will be getting $3 of Complimentary Credit. The case we picked for the Masters Pack cost us ~$4.50/ea so Masters Pack Backers will be getting $5 of Complimentary Credit.
Times have been tough during this pandemic. We did our best to get you cases. We know you really wanted them. We hope the complimentary credit softens the blow a bit. Thank you for understanding. And thank you for sticking with us through all of this.
Even Backerkit has been hit by the pandemic. We're currently waiting for them to review our surveys and add-on shop so we can send out backer surveys. Their review process could take until May 21st to complete. The instant we are good to go, we'll send the surveys.

Story:
After I completed fulfillment of our very first Kickstarter, I filmed a 'Thank You Video' in which I named every backer who wanted a shout-out. The catch? I did so while my friends tossed tokens into a tiny bucket that I had taped to the top of my head. Two versions of the thank you video were released: a normal version, and a 'crack' version. Now it's time to film another!- Tactical Dave

We smashed through all of our stretch goals. Surpassed $15k raised. And ended the campaign at 640% above our original funding goal. That's amazing! And frankly, it's difficult for us to put our appreciation into words. So we'll put it in a video!
But what should we do this time?
Should we get a dunk tank and write the name of each backer on a ball and throw them at Tactical Dave? Or, should we make a custom token representing each backer, frame it, and keep in a prominent location in the office?

So what does each backer get now that we've hit each goal?
$1, Tactical Support: You get the ability to purchase every token featured during the project as an add-on in our Backerkit store after you submit your backer survey.
$10, 11 for 10 Pack: Your '11 Pack' now becomes a '23 Pack'. You now get 1 of each 1 Inch color token, both printed tokens, and a 1 inch blank square token. 12 additional completely free tokens. Consider this the '1 Inch Sampler Pack' now. Which, now that I think of it is a much better name... oh well, too late!
$20, Starter Pack: Your Starter Pack of 1 inch tokens which originally came with 30 tokens, now evolves to include a total of 52 tokens. This includes 2 of each color, 1 of each printed token, and two 1 inch blank square tokens. That's 22 additional free tokens.
$40, Essentials Pack: Your Essentials Pack of 1 to 4 inch tokens gets a nice upgrade of 33 free tokens. Bringing the grand total up to 74 Tactical Tokens. You now get 3 of every color token, both printed tokens, a 1.5 inch round blank token, three 1 inch square tokens, and either a carrying case if you don't mind waiting a few extra months or a coupon for the case's value on TacticalTokens.com much sooner.
$80, Masters Pack: You're a master of the dungeon. You're a master of the game. You deserve the best. You deserve the most. And you get it. Your Masters Pack transmutes into it's ultimate form. You get 45 additional free tokens. Four of every 1 inch color token. Both printed tokens with two times the floating eye monsters. Two 1.5 inch round blanks. Four 1 inch blank square tokens. Now that the project is coming to a close. Here is what our fulfillment timeline looks like. Keep in mind, these dates are all estimates.
Some time before the last reward package without a carrying case is shipped in August, we will reopen TacticalTokens.com/shop. Then we'll issue the case compensation coupons to every backer that elected to receive the coupon instead of the case. So keep an eye on your Kickstarter messages.
We're sad that carrying cases didn't work out as planned. That was a big stretch goal we were all looking forward to getting. These have been really tough times for a lot of people and businesses. Unfortunately, our carrying case supplier was impacted. We hope things will go back to some semblance of normalcy soon. In the meantime we are exploring other options for those who would rather wait to receive a case as originally promised. We will keep you updated on our progress.
